About Us

At Lachman Consulting, we envision a world where the work of social change is bold and impactful, as well as full of support, connection, and joy – for everyone.

We’re in this work for the same reasons you are – to shape a more just, equitable, and thriving world.

We’ve partnered with hundreds of social change leaders who are transforming our planet with their life-saving programs and groundbreaking advocacy. Like you, we’ve felt the heartbreak, frustration, and weariness that comes with fighting for change.  And, like you, we keep going, because we believe in a social change sector that reflects the type of world we want to inhabit.

Here’s what we’re up against:

Many social change organizations were born out of the very systems we’re trying to dismantle.  So even as we’re calling for change “out there” in the world, there’s a lot of change that needs to happen “in here” – within ourselves, our teams, and our organizations.

The urgency and importance of social change work often leads to a breakneck pace in organizations.  Without real intention, driving for change gets done at the expense of inclusion, innovation, and real, deep transformation.

Many social change leaders have fallen prey to the belief that they must sacrifice the health and wellbeing of themselves (and their teams) in service of their missions.

We work at the individual, group, and organizational level to challenge these norms and create deep and sustainable change - from the inside out.

What makes us different:

We build relationships that are centered around trust, connection, and deep listening.  All of our services are highly personalized, and this level of care is felt throughout our engagements.  We’d never ask anything of our clients that we don’t bring to the table ourselves: vulnerability, creativity, curiosity, and a sense of joy.

Organizations, teams, and humans are all complex systems made up of interconnected parts.  To help our clients create and sustain real change, we take an approach that engages all parts of the system - people AND process…strategy AND culture…mind, heart, AND body.

We are dedicated to creating a more just, equitable, and inclusive society, and we center this commitment in our external work and internal company practices.  We are constantly driving ourselves and our clients to challenge the status quo, share power, and learn from our mistakes with humility and action.

Pursuing change and growth can be hard, and the very thought of doing something new can cause the body to tense up. We infuse our work with human connection, community building, music, movement, and creative expression to invite the kind of openness, curiosity, and experimentation that are needed for change to be possible.

 Our people:

We’re a team of heart-centered facilitators and coaches committed to shaping a healthy and impactful social change sector.  Having been leaders in nonprofit organizations ourselves, we understand the daily challenges you’re facing and we’re committed to helping you build effective leadership, vibrant teams, and sustainable practices, so that you and your organizations can stay impactful over the long-haul.
